SALVATION

THE AWAKENING - "Regeneration"

Regeneration begins with the acceptance of Jesus Christ by the believer. Jesus said, "you must be born again" (John 3:7).

Believers only are begotten by and through the Gospel (I Corinthians 4:15).

THE ACKNOWLEDGMENT - "Repentance"

Regret - Godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of, but the sorrow of the world worketh death (II Corinthians 7:10). Repentance brings about:

1. Conviction: - The recognition of responsibility for sin and a desire to change.

2. Change:

a. Repentance changes the mind (The way you think)-Luke 19:8

Luke 15:17-18

b. Repentance changes the heart (The way you feel)-Psalm 119:104

c. Repentance changes your will (What you do)-I Thessalonians 1:9

THE APPROPRIATION - "Faith"

Without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:16). Faith is the only key that will unlock the release of mankind from the punishment for his sin and that will grant eternal salvation.

Sources of Faith - The Word Of God. "Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God". Romans 10:17

THE APPLICATION - "Justification"

Being justified through the redemption in Christ Jesus means that the believer is cleared of his guilt. Christ pays the price by His own condemnation, by giving His life as the substitute (Hebrews 9:22)

THE ACTIVATION - "Sanctification"

God's deliverance of a person from the power of sin. Means to dedicate, to make holy, to separate and set apart to something or someone for God from its common ordinary use.

THE COMMITMENT

1. Confess that you are a lost sinner, on your way to Hell.

2. Ask God to forgive you of your sins.

3. Ask Jesus Christ to come into your heart, as Lord and Savior.

4. Turn away from your sins.
